Incompatible with iPad as promised

I downloaded this app to desktop computer, because I use three iOS devices for different tasks. Alas, I can’t install app neither to iPad mini retina display, nor to iPad air, only to iPod touch 5G. Concerning app itself I suggest to developers to add two important options — classic 2:3 frame ratio and high/low contrast versions in b&w mode, also promised compatibility with iPad. After that it could become a great app.

great app but...

exposure compensation dial doesn’t work…dialog box says set shutter speed and iso to automatic but there is no auto setting for ISO and it remains greyed out. Get this fixed and you’ve got a cool app!

Just Doesnt Work

To prospective buyers - wait until these folks make a whole lot of upgrades before buying this app. It is pretty much useless in its present state.

Photographer

Useless. Slow, unresponsive and exposure comp doesnt work. Focus useless. Should never have been released from testing

ReDotCam

Needs square format and exposure compensation available in full manual setting as in real cameras. And pseudo neutral density filter in case one wants slow motion in bright daylight i.e. Moving water Michèle

Keeps crashing

Looks like a good app but unfortunately keeps crashing. Makes it very expensive for something that keeps crashing

Nice Camera

Very nice camera for street photo and other, but add the shutter volume release.

Bugiardi!

È stato ed è offerto gratis, invece mi avete fatto pagare 1,99€!!!! Come mai?????

This app is the best camera app, easy to use and have a lot of professionnal option. Its worth the price.

Greaat!!!

This is an amazing app that let you take great pictures with a lot of options. This app is a must-have.

Best camera ever

This app is very great, it makes taking artistic pics an easy task, it has a lot of features. its just amazing.

Stellar! Best for control and results

Finally, I can take photos with my phone under any conditions and without having to move around for a decent exposure. The results are fantastic. Manual focus!! The gui has everything you need on the screen, non-intrusive nor complicated. You just move dials and they click into place - not sliders, which are difficult to use, control, theyre imprecise, inconsistent, and I hate them. If you are a photographer, you will be at very home with the settings. Theyre dials with the same settings as an SLR.

Leica Control Techniques on iPhones Camera

I am evaluating the Leica Q and it has reawakened the art in my eye. The iPhone camera is more amazing than most realize. Now you have access to it. Leica lenses have f/stop (Aperature) rings but iPhone is fixed at f/2.2 -- so I am used to choosing an Aperature to control focus depth. After that, composition and focus can be manual on both cameras. Changes the way you think.

Pretty great for learning different camera functions

This is a pretty simple photo app that imitates the features youd find on most cameras. The UI makes it simple to see what effects shutter speed, ev, and ISO have, so its a nice way to learn the basics. The photos arent half bad either, the digital bokeh is smooth and nice to look at. All in all, a good 3 bucks spent.

Good idea but half-baked

Great that it has manual controls, EXCEPT for aperture. That is kind of a big deal. Great that it has crop lines for 28, 35, and 50mm but when the picture is taken it is not cropped. Why bother framing for those when you still have to manually crop anyway? I want to love this app but cant at the moment.

Original and Fun Camera App

I dont expect to turn my iPhone into a Leica.. I have real Leicas for when I want to shoot with a Leica, but this app imitates many aspects of rangefinder shooting. The app certainly makes me shoot photos differently, more like when shooting with a rangefinder. A nice alternative camera for when I want to shoot a photo and only have my iPhone.

Beta garbage

This app claims to deliver a Leica like experience, but cant even deliver a fundamental iPhone app experience. Camera interface does not rotate when you rotate the phone. This is crucial as the only orientation it allows you, your left hand finger obscures the lens. If you rotated to get it out-of-the-way it remains upside down. Weirder yet the play and menu buttons do in fact rotate when you rotate the phone. You cannot raise the ISO above 400, despite having a dial that goes to ISO 1600. You cannot access the exposure compensation dial despite its warning telling you to change it back to auto even when you do so. In the feedback section under support it cannot even do the most fundamental text entry for an iPhone with the magnifying glass to change the insertion point correctly. It appears to not understand the iPhone 6+ screen resolution and scales everything up. When you go to a erase the out of focus images it creates, it asks if "advanced camera" can access your images. It doesnt even call it by its app name RedDotCam, it uses the system call. I have never complained about an app I have purchased here before, because generally Im a very cautious buyer of apps. This is the most unpolished piece of garbage I have ever used on my phone. Sorry come back when its version 2.0
